Adaptations

In the temperate Rainforest biome, it’s hard to reach the sunlight underneath all the tall trees which grew especially tall due to the amount of precipitation. Because it's hard to reach the sunlight needed from the ground, epiphytes have begun to grow atop other plants and trees to reach the sunlight they need. The trees however, have simply adapted to the hours of sunlight and the trees have been adapted to keep their leaves green. This is what they do to keep producing food through photosynthesis. When trees decay, they decay slowly due to the colder temperatures. This is taken advantage of by seedlings as they grow on these decaying logs and take the remaining nutrients.
