A Mutualistic Relationship: Mychorhizzal fungi and Stika spruce tree, root-like mycelia (vegetative part of fungi) goes into the trees that are dead and decaying and loosen the nutrients that are trapped in the rotting tree. They take the nutrients and give them to living trees in exchange for the food they need from the living trees.
